Anita Gates of The New York Times shares her thoughts of the Theophilus North production, adapted by Matthew Burnett from Thornton Wilder’s novel, and currently running at the Clurman Theatre in New York.
“Of the four stories in Theophilus North, adapted by Matthew Burnett from Thornton Wilder’s novel, the tale of the mismatched young sweethearts offers the most sophisticated interaction. But all four, in the Keen Company’s affable production at the Harold Clurman Theater, have their old-fashioned charms. They involve 20 or so characters, played with remarkable versatility by a cast of seven, smartly if sometimes solemnly directed by Carl Forsman.”
